Aimen Faraj -- through his art, the artist skillfully demonstrates how littering is destroying the oceans. By getting school children involved through his artworks which are constructed from debris washed up on the beach, the children can better connect and understand the adverse effects littering has on the oceans around the world, our food supplies and fish that live in the oceans and how important it is not to litter for a cleaner, healthier environment.

The artist has spent 20 years creating environmental art from man-discarded debris and trash dumped into the world’s ocean and beaches. The creative medium is unique and contemporary. He uses these discarded objects such as plastics, glass, toys and many other small and large debris and presents them as installations and environmental art, affectionately known as “Trashy Art”. The artist’s mission and passion is to educate children about environmental etiquette to help deepen their connection with nature. He has been devoted to practices that encourage and promote pollution solutions.
